Masters Registry Exhibition
Launched in 2008, the Masters Registry is a structured program linked to an independent evaluation system which consists of a rigorous curriculum of fifty projects, submitted in batches of ten at a time. This programme is international in scope and is open to all artists working in metal clay. It is not tied to a manufacturer, distributors, or discounts.
Only five people in the world have currently achieved the status of Masters Registry level 1. This will be your opportunity to have a close look at a selection of the outstanding work produced for this high level programme.
Colour Corner
We will have a 'Colour Corner' set up in the Main Hall. There will be three experts available to show you how to add colour to your metal clay in totally different ways. You can watch demos, discuss sample pieces and chat with these experts during the following times:Lunchtime Saturday - Cold Enamel with Clare John
Clare has been making jewellery for over 30 years. She first used resins in the 70s and has tried all sorts of resins from different suppliers. She was delighted to find the brand she now uses, made by RF Bright Enterprises Ltd. They cure with a hard shiny surface which avoids lots of messy, dangerous and time consuming work like cutting back or polishing. You can mix exactly the colours you want for your PMC creations very easily. These resins are odourless and non-carcinogenic.
Saturday Evening - Polymer Clay with Sue Heaser
Sue Heaser has worked professionally as a jewellery artist and designer for over 25 years and is the author of 13 major craft books. She teaches workshops worldwide on polymer clay and metal clay jewellery and her latest book, Magical Metal Clay Jewellery was published in October.
Polymer clay is an ideal material to combine with metal clay because it shares many of the same techniques and tools. From millefiore and micromosaics to faux semi precious stones, it adds glorious colour to silver and gold jewellery.Lunchtime Sunday - Permanent Colour Ceramic Decals with Helga van Leipsig
Helga van Leipsig graduated at the Academy of Fine Art Maastricht (ABKM) in the Netherlands. Worked as a graphic designer for several companies. In 2004 she started her own business, De Zilveren Akelei, combining graphical work and jewelry. Helga began experimenting with ceramic transfers which resuulted in winning second place in the 'Small Treasures' European PMC competition.
Ceramic Decals are a great way to apply a permanent color layer on jewelry in a very graphical manner and to your own design. Helga likes to share her knowledge through articles and presentations.
Wine Reception
Between 5pm and 7pm the wine reception will take place in the mail hall. Enjoy a glass of wine and a chat, shop with our vendors, visit Sue Heaser in the Colour Corner, take part in the competition and head in for your Critique Sessions.

Individual Critique Sessions
These sessions will run between 5pm and 7pm and must be pre-booked. This is your chance to have a 20 minute consultation with an expert. You can use this time to discuss design ideas, get feedback on your work, explore marketing possibilities or ask some technical questions.
These Critique Sessions are available on a first come; first served basis. When you book your ticket, you will receive an email booking confirmation and you can register your preferences for a 20 minute Critique session at that time.
